Democratizing information with quality content

I have extensive experience simplifying complex topics to help the audience understand them. My goal is to create content that is accessible to the full audience, particularly for those communities that are historically underserved. I use my UX research and user psychology skillset to understand the audience before we even start designing. I ensure the tone of any user-facing text meets the context in which it appears. When appropriate, I add human touches to the language without sacrificing clarity. And throughout the design process, I test and edit the text and imagery to make sure the content is as comprehensible as possible.

Designing within constraints

I make sure to fully understand business goals and constraints early on in a project. Working directly with stakeholders, I identify audience segments, regulations, internal paint points and existing research insights. That way, I can provide more innovative solutions when bringing together siloed products into a cohesive structure. Using my extensive UX writing and information architecture toolkit, I can present design solutions that have been considered multiple ways with best practices in mind. I diligently stay on top of industry trends and emerging technology to ensure solutions are as forward-thinking as possible. And I work directly with developers to make sure the content in code meets the quality of what was handed off.
